Join the Ordway and Dengue Fever on Friday, January 8 for a free screening of Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten and a post-film discussion with rock band Dengue Fever, presented by Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
Through the eyes, words and songs of its popular music stars of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, “Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock and Roll” combines interviews with surviving musicians, rarely heard songs, and never-before-seen archival material to track the winding course of Cambodian music as it morphs into a unique style of rock and roll. Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten was directed by John Pirozzi. http://www.dtifcambodia.com/
Revive and celebrate a musical culture that was nearly lost forever under the brutal Khmer Rouge regime through a discussion with members of Dengue Fever immediately following the screening. Refreshments will be served, and we will give away a pair of tickets to Dengue Fever’s performance at the Ordway on Saturday, January 9. This screening is free and open to the public!
WHEN: Friday, January 8, 6-9pm
WHERE: Capri Theater, 2027 W Broadway Ave, Minneapolis MN 55411
